I became the staff writer for Tideline magazine in May, and since then, I have tried my hand at kiteboarding, tracked sea turtles and taken inventory of some of their nests, met with numerous noteable Lowcountry chefs and learned some of their most Southern seafood recipes, among many other things. I love reporting on the Charleston maritime scene because I have the rare opportunity to spend my days on the beach and on the water, talking with surfers, anglers, conservationists, charter captains and more, who all share the same passion for the Lowcountry and its waters.
If you have something to say about Tideline -- a suggestion for a story or profile, a delicious recipe, news tips regarding our waters or even just a comment or observation -- please send me a message. I would love to hear from you!
And if you're passionate about certain issues, have questions about offshore fishing or kayaking, or want to talk with other water enthusiasts, local anglers, etc. about anything having to do with the Lowcountry maritime scene, I would encourage you to visit the Message Board and start a conversation. Or start a group. Or both.
Cheers!
