You're totally right...that's him! That was in June last year at the Wahine surf contest out at Folly. While the girls were tearing it up between the flags, he and some of his buddies surfed a couple hundred yards away.
Chris and Jenny's little girl, Grace, surfed in the Push 'n Surf competition, and she was so good. Check it out:
